  • Green Top
  • Purple Top (EDTA)
  • Large Purple for Group and Hold

Tests

  • FBC
  • UEC
  • LFTs
  • Lipase
  • BAL
  • Coags
  • Group and Hold – date, time and sign
  • Troponin (blunt cardiac injury)
  • Ca / Mg / PO4
  • +/- BHCG

    This is true for most cases.
    Ideally, the blood tests should be tailored for each trauma patient. Direction for this should come from the Trauma team leader and the Trauma Service representatives at the trauma bay (Trauma surgeon, Trauma Fellow, Trauma Registrar)
    Things keep changing. We are using ROTEM as well
